Five-star small forward Dwayne Aristode started his fall official visits with a trip to Michigan State. The Spartans hosted the Dutch prospect from Aug. 29-31.
Aristode was able to attend Michigan State football’s home opener vs. Florida Atlantic and spend time with head coach Tom Izzo and staff at the basketball facilities.
“I liked their hospitality, their generosity for my family, but at the same time seriousness,” Aristode told ZAGSBLOG via text. “Not wasting any time. Straight forward always trying to push you. They’re going to tell you the real.”
He especially appreciated talking with Izzo.
“His main message was that they want me,” Aristode said. “I fit in perfectly with the way they play and my body is ready, plus my position.”
Aristode has two other official visits set in stone to USC (Sept. 18-20) and Duke (Sept. 20-22) this fall. He’s previously taken an unofficial visit to USC this summer, official to Arizona (January 2024), unofficial to UCLA (August 2023) and unofficial to Wake Forest (September 2023).
Those schools are all major players in the recruitment. Aristode does not have an official top schools list at the moment.
Aristode — the 6-foot-7, 185-pound Brewster (NH) and Expressions Elite AAU product — is ranked the No. 19 player in the 2025 class by 247Sports.
