Spartans get third transfer of offseason
Tom Izzo added another player to the backcourt on Sunday with the news that Divine Ugochukwu will transfer to Michigan State. The former Miami Hurricane brings with him major conference experience, unlike the other two members of MSU’s transfer class. He has three more years of eligibility remaining, so he is not a one-year rental. Well, I guess he could transfer again next summer.
Ugochukwu is 6’3” and 190 pounds. In his freshman year at Miami, he started 16 games. He had averages of 5.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. The assumption is that Divine will serve as the backup PG to Jeremy Fears.
What do you think, TOC? Does this addition change your expectations for next season?
