Winning the biggest event of the summer comes with a lot of attention and offers; winning it back-to-back years gives an even bigger boost. Class of 2026 guard Trey Pearson is one of those prospects who have seen their stock soar after another championship with Bradley Beal Elite.

“Honestly, just feels good,” Pearson said about winning back-to-back Peach Jams. “It means a lot to me because it never happened in the BBE program before, so I mean it just feels good that we just made history. I honestly just feel that we were winners. It just means a lot for sure.”

The history-making didn’t stop at victories for Pearson, who’s been with the BBE program since 15u. The 6-foot-2 point guard set a new Peach Jam record for assists in a single game with 15. For the tournament, the point guard averaged 12.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.9 assists while shooting 51.3% from the field.

“There was like a spurt later in the game when I had four or five assists in a row,” Pearson said. “I was like, damn, I’m throwing mad assists up, but I didn’t think 15 or nothing like that, definitely not.”

“Definitely means a lot,” he added. “It’s crazy because I’m a point guard and I like to pass, so I mean it definitely means a lot. Couldn’t do it without my family. They hit a lot of threes for me that day. Everybody was going, so it was a good day for everybody.”

The other part of Pearson’s game that stands out is his defense. Just look at this clip from Peach Jam.

“I love playing defense, trying to guard the best player at all times,” Pearson said. “You know, close them out, make the point guard struggle for sure and really just being a leader. Just doing what I need to do to make sure the team wins.”

Being in Bradley Beal’s program, Pearson has been provided the opportunity to learn from an NBA All-Star.

“He told me it doesn’t matter about rankings and whose a five-star,” Pearson said. “It’s just whoever comes on the court, whoever wants it more. It doesn’t matter who we’re playing against .It doesn’t matter if the team is way better or we are better than them. Just come on the court and all the time, just go 100%. I mean, if you go 100% with no regrets and you work hard on the court, then whatever the outcome is, you shouldn’t be so disappointed, even if it’s a win over a loss.”

Now, with the summer season behind him, Pearson will turn his attention to his recruitment. The point guard has taken visits to Austin Peay and UAB so far with plans to take more visits soon. He holds offers from Arkansas State, Ball State, Belmont, Furman, High Point, Kennesaw State, Middle Tennessee, Murray State, Sacramento State, SIUC, Tennessee State, UAB, UIC, UT Arlington and others.

The three-star gave some brief thoughts on both his trips:

Austin Peay: “I like the coaches there. They got a good facility, a good fan base. I just really like the community.”

UAB: “That was wonderful, I love the coaches there. Good facility, good practice facility. Yeah, a great community as well. Like everything around it, good for like a good little spot to be at.”

Pearson has also been in contact with Kentucky.

“They like my game” Pearson said. “They are kinda shocked at the offers I got, they are shocked that I don’t got a lot of high majors. They said they’ll keep in touch, they’ll call me later on in the week.”

The point guard has also heard from Iowa, Michigan State, NC State, Tennessee, Texas and Vanderbilt. Pearson’s goal as of right now is to attend a high-major program, but he’s still open to any option.

Pearson is the No. 25 point guard in the 2026 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. He’s been playing varsity with Pope John Paul II (TN) since his freshman year and will be returning for his senior season.
