Tom Izzo gets his 2nd commit for the 2025 class
I know this week was supposed to be dedicated to discussing how we hate um, and we will get to that still. But first, we have breaking news from East Lansing. Well, technically we have news coming out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Cam Ward, a four-star forward who attends Largo High School, announced that he will be playing for MSU.
This news comes less than two weeks after Jordan Scott, from just across the Potomac River, became the first member of next year’s incoming class. Ward and Scott’s home towns are about an hour’s drive apart. The two also were in East Lansing the same weekend recently for their official visits. So it goes to reason that these two already have a tight bond with each other. It would not be a surprise to eventually find out that the two of them influenced each other’s decisions as they wanted to play together.
Cam Ward is listed at 6’7” tall and 210 pounds with a 6’11” wingspan. 247Sports has him as the 14th ranked power forward and 50th overall in the 2025 class.
Congrats to Mr. Ward on a wonderful life decision. We look forward to seeing you in a Spartans uniform.
Now back to the regularly-scheduled animosity…
