Kaleb Glenn of Florida Atlantic is coming to East Lansing
Tom Izzo has secured his first player in this offseason’s transfer portal. Kaleb Glenn, a forward who played for two years at Florida Atlantic, will be a Spartan next season. Florida Atlantic is a team that MSU faced last year, having come to the Breslin back on December 21. In that game, Glenn came off the bench, but still played 23 minutes. In that game, he scored six points and had a bunch of 1s in the rest of his box score. Of note, he was 0-5 on three-point shots in that game.
All that said, Glenn was a starter most of the year and actually was the Owls leading scorer, averaging 12.6 PPG on 53% shooting and 41% on 3s. He also had 4.8 RPG. At 6’7” and 210 lbs, Glenn does offer some size on the wing for MSU. My initial thought is that he could be a backup to Coen Carr at the SF position, or maybe a backup two-guard, but his profile is not screaming starter at MSU to me.
Let’s hear from you. Was Kaleb Glenn on any of your radars? What do you think of this pickup?
