Will the Spartans advance to the BTT semifinals?
Michigan State’s postseason begins today with a Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal matchup against the Oregon Ducks. The game tips at noon ET and will be televised on BTN. Oregon is coming off a second-round win over the Indiana Hoosiers in the 8vs9 game, and now they must turn around on less than 24 hours to take on the regular season champion Spartans.
These two teams battled back on February 8 in East Lansing, an 86-74 win for MSU. Today, on a neutral court, the Spartans are favored to win by 5.5 points; the over/under is 143.5. Here are the predictions from the TOC staff:
Mike: 66-64 MSU
Steve: 68-59 MSU
Brian: 79-67 MSU
O: 81-68 MSU

I was thinking to myself yesterday about the debate question “Would you rather win your conference tournament and go into the NCAA tournament on a roll, or would you rather take a loss in hopes that it will help kickstart a new win streak?” I did a little research on this topic and found this article . Turns out there is no real historical bias one way or the other, though over the past ten years, NCAA champions were not their conference tourney champion seven times. How do you feel about this topic?
Elsewhere in the Big Ten Tournament, we have three other quarterfinals today. Pick your winners for these games.
