Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Lions are signing veteran DT Roy Lopez to a one-year contract worth $4.65 million. Lopez, 27, was selected with the No. 195 overall pick in the sixth round by the Texans back in 2021. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Dolphins are signing former Lions CB Ifeatu Melifonwu to a one-year, $4 million contract. Melifonwu, 25, is the brother of veteran S Obi Melifonwu and was a two-year starter for Syracuse. He was also named third-team All-ACC in 2020. Jeremy Fowler reports that the Lions are re-signing veteran OL Dan Skipper to a one-year contract.  Skipper, 30, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas back in 2017.
